As one of the largest warehouse equipment vendors in the region, we possess the resources and expertise that other suppliers lack.

Pallet Racking & Industrial Shelving

Associated supplies a full suite of quality industrial shelving, racking and mezzanine options, including both new and pre-owned equipment. Our organization offers attractive terms, in addition to services like engineering, installation, customer safety inspection and project management. If you need assistance with racking or shelving, we can offer expertise and support.

Cantilever Rack

Cantilever racks offer perfect storage for bulky or longer products (pipe, PVC, carpet, sheet metal, etc). Cantilever racking consists of arms fixed to a beam on one end. These structural arms can be configured to accommodate individual products and lengths, and the aisle side provides free access to lift trucks.

Carton Flow

Flow rack solutions are gravity-driven skate-wheel rack equipment ideal for uses with a large catalog of SKUs. These types of racks utilize inclined shelving with a loading aisle on the high side access and a pick up lane on the downhill side, allowing a first-in/first-out product inventory cycle. Slanted shelves also enhance visibility, allowing greater fulfillment precision. Carton flow equipment is well suited for piece or split case picking.

Drive In Rack

Drive-in racking is a high density industrial racking layout with overhead cross beams that drives efficiencies in productivity and warehouse space. Pallets are supported by tracks connected to the uprights. Lift trucks are able to easily drive in and out of each pallet bay column. Many industries use drive-in racking, in particular those with large quantities of identical items.

Some examples of applications for drive-in pallet racking are grocery, food service, import/export, food manufacturing, bulk product handling, and paint.

Because drive-in pallet racks are filled from the face, management of inventory is in a “first-in/last-out” order.

Pallet Flow Rack

Pallet flow racks are structures with slanting platforms, faced with roller conveyors or skate-wheels. Pallets are loaded from an aisle in the rear of the racking structure and they advance down the slope as previously added pallets are unloaded from the face.

This variety of storage rack is a “first in / first out” method and is perfect for a large stock of heavy inventory and inconsistent sizes of pallets. They are frequently used in the beverage industry.

Push Back Rack

Push back storage equipment is filled from a front lane, and pallets travel up sloped steel rails on specially designed carts. As new pallets are loaded from the front, they advance the pallets behind them up the incline.

Unlike flow racks, push back rack systems do not require a loading aisle behind them and can be designed for a more dense warehouse. However, because all products are loaded from the front, pallet treatment must be handled on a “last in/first out” principle which isn’t suitable for industries with perishable goods. Like pallet flow racks, push back racks are suitable for high volumes of the same goods.

Selective Rack

Selective racking is the most broadly utilized pallet rack today. These systems are made up of load beams fastened to uprights via bolts or teardrop connectors. Selective rack is constructed from either roll formed or structural steel, with the former generally being not as costly and more adaptable.

Standard selective rack options are generally designed as “single deep”, meaning they have only one length of bays per row. Double deep pallet racks have rows the same height, but two times as wide, meaning they can accommodate two pallets per bay. Double deep configurations are filled from the front, meaning they are a “first in/last out” implementation.

You can also choose different types of pallet rack decking and accessories based on your use case and load capacity. Pick from common wire decking, solid steel or slotted steel depending on your individual use.

Boltless Shelving

Besides pallet racking, Assciated offers a full selection of boltless shelving in heavy, medium and light duty choices. This type of industrial shelving is perfect for light industrial or shop use, shipping operations, record archives, parts and dozens of other purposes that need less weight support.

Customers can order decks as standard particle board, wire or solid metal decking. No bolts, nuts, screws or additional small parts are required for setting up this product, so installation is an easy task. Add accessories such as side panels, work tables, post caps, tie plates or footplates.
