Pallet Racking & Industrial Shelving

Associated supplies a full suite of quality industrial shelving, pallet racking and mezzanine alternatives, including both new and pre-owned equipment. Our organization offers attractive terms, in addition to services like engineering, installation, project management and customer safety inspection. If you need assistance with pallet racking or storage, we can offer expertise and support.

Cantilever Rack

Cantilever racks provide optimal storage for long or very large products (tubing, plywood, carpet, metal products, etc). Cantilever racking is made up of of arms secured to a beam on one end. These structural arms can be designed to hold different products and lengths, and the aisle side provides free access to lift trucks.

Carton Flow

Flow rack solutions are skate wheel gravity-powered rack equipment ideal for organizations with a large catalog of SKUs. This variety of racking uses inclined shelving with a loading aisle on the uphill end access and a retrieval aisle on the downhill side, allowing a first-in/first-out product inventory cycle. Ramped shelves also enhance visibility, enabling improved fulfillment precision. Carton flow equipment is perfect for split case or piece picking.

Drive In Rack

Drive-in racking is a high density industrial racking layout with overhead cross beams that maximizes productivity and space. Pallets are supported by rails affixed to the uprights. Lift trucks are allowed to freely move in and out of each column of pallets. Numerous types of businesses use drive-in racking, especially those with large quantities of uniform items.

Some examples of uses for drive-in pallet racking are food service, grocery, food manufacturing, import/export, bulk product handling, and paint.

Because drive-in racks are loaded from the face, management of goods is in a “first-in/last-out” order.

Pallet Flow Rack

Pallet flow racks are structures with slanting shelves, faced with roller conveyors or skate-wheels. Pallets are loaded from a lane on the backside of the racking structure and they travel down the declining platform as previously added pallets are retrieved from the front.

This category of storage rack is a “first in / first out” system and is perfect for a large stock of heavy inventory and varying sizes of pallets. They are often used in the beverage industry.

Push Back Rack

Push back storage equipment is loaded from a front aisle, and pallets travel up sloped steel tracks on specialized carts. As new pallets are filled from the front, they push the pallets behind them up the slope.

Unlike flow racks, push back rack systems don’t require a filling lane in the rear and can be configured for a higher density warehouse. However, because all products are loaded from the face of the rack, product treatment is handled on a “last in/first out” principle which is not acceptable for operations with perishable products. Similar to pallet flow racks, push back racks are a good fit for for large quantities of identical products.

Selective Rack

Selective racks are the most popular pallet racks available today, and there is a huge variety of possible sizes, gauges and varieties. All selective racks are made with either structural or roll formed steel uprights and beams that are attached with teardrop connectors or bolts. We offer both standard single deep and double deep selective racking.

Depending on your load capacity and application, you may also wish to select different styles of pallet rack decking and accessories. Select from standard wire decking, solid steel or slotted steel depending on your individual use.

Boltless Shelving

In addition to pallet racking, Assciated offers a full range of boltless shelving in heavy, medium and light duty formats. This variety of steel shelving is ideal for light industrial or shop use, shipping facilities, record archives, parts and many other purposes that require less capacity.

Customers can order decking as regular particle board, solid metal or wire decking. No nuts, bolts or additional small parts are needed for setup of this product, so installation is a simple project. Add accessories such as side panels, work tables, post caps, tie plates or footplates.
